Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded in a timely manner. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles. initally based at our offices in Hinckley, moving to our new purpose built facility in Desford 2026, Flexible working hours available, will accomodate school hours etc....

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers and journals.
Supplier statements and credit control
Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure that all transactions are accounted for.
Prepare monthly financial reports to assist in decision-making processes.
Assist with year-end closing procedures and preparation for audits.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Utilise accounting software Xero
payroll would be advantage - Brightpay software
Requirements

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general bookkeeping principles.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
