Our client is a fast-growing, industry-leading car finance broker based just 5 minutes from Manchester city centre! They require a Bookkeeper to join their exciting growing team!

Role : Bookkeeper

Salary: £28,000–£32,000 per annum (based on experience)
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 09:00–18:00
The Role

As part of their continued growth, they’re seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join the accounts team and support daily financial operations.

You’ll be integral in maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with reporting—directly supporting our Senior Accountant and Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities

· Maintain accurate records of day-to-day financial transactions

· Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and staff expenses

· Reconcile bank accounts regularly

· Manage accounts receivable and payable

· Assist in payroll processing and HMRC submissions

· Support month-end and year-end close processes

· Generate financial reports as requested

· Ensure compliance with VAT and statutory requirements

· Liaise with external accountants and auditors

· Contribute to the improvement of finance processes and systems

What They’re Looking For

· Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar finance role

· Proficient in accounting software (Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks)

· Solid knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and UK VAT rules

· Excellent Excel skills and attention to detail

· Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines

· Strong organisational and communication skills

· AAT, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or working towards) OR equivalent experience
