Description
Position Description: The Sauk Prairie School District is seeking a Teaching Assistant for Before School Club and 4K Care program. The program, 4K Care, offers childcare for 4-year olds under the direction of a licensed teacher at each site. This position will be responsible for assisting the Before School Club and 4K Care teacher for both the Before School Club and 4K Care programs.
Hours: 6:30 am - 12:15 pm M-F School Days for the remainder of the 2026-25 school year

Essential Functions:
Assist in the implementation of enrichment and recreational activities in the preschool program.
Assist in the supervision of preschool students
Supervise students in all program activities
Maintain current and accurate attendance information
Ensure health and safety measures
Physical assistance with students, including lifting as needed
Qualifications
1. High School diploma or equivalent
2. Obtain emergency medical training and other job related certifications as required
3. Prefer previous experience working with children, parents, community, and school staff
4. Prefer experience working with diverse populations
5. Ability to properly handle confidential matters, emergency situations and work in a positive manner with students, staff and the community
6. Strong leadership skills and initiative
7. Ability to work as a member of a team
8. General clerical skills and basic computer skills
+. Able to lift 50 lbs.
