Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Waitress to join our vibrant team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Duties
Prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
Serve food and beverages to customers in a courteous and timely manner.
Take customer orders accurately, process payments, and handle cash or card transactions efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter, dining area, and workstations in compliance with food safety standards.
Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including assembling sandwiches or snacks.
Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly and addressing any special requests or dietary requirements.
Manage multiple tables or orders simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Follow health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.
Requirements
Proven experience as a barista or waitress is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Knowledge of food safety standards is desirable to ensure compliance with hygiene regulations.
Ability to serve customers efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanour.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods.
Good organisational skills to keep work areas clean and well-stocked throughout shifts.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well within a team.
Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if required; however, the position primarily involves daytime shifts.
