About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our supportive team at Ernest Rutherford Retirement Village in Nelson as a Barista. This is a Part Time role working Saturday 0830-1630 & Sunday 0930-1530.
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Barista to help run our café over the weekends. This is an exciting yet important role, best suited to someone with previous café experience and some leadership exposure, whether as an all-rounder or barista, who can confidently support daily operations and deliver excellent customer service.
In this role you will:
Provide an excellent food and beverage service in the café for residents, relatives and visitors - Experience making coffee essential
Have expeience working in a busy café
Handle food, the till, and making great coffee
Be responsible for crafting delicious beverages, maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the café
Work closely with, and support your colleagues
About You
To thrive in our supportive and caring environment you will have:
Previous experience as a Barista in a busy cafe environment
Outstanding communication and customer service skills with the ability to multitask with coffee making, serving customers and food service
Strong empathy with a friendly and approachable demeanour
A reliable, friendly and professional manner with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
