Job Summary:
Event Servers play a vital role in ensuring the success of weddings, corporate events, and other special occasions. They are responsible for providing excellent service by delivering food and beverages, setting up and clearing event spaces, and maintaining a welcoming and professional atmosphere for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Arrange tables, chairs, linens, and decor according to the event layout.
Prepare service areas with necessary supplies, such as glassware, cutlery, and plates.
Assist with food and beverage station setup, including buffets, bars, and dessert tables.
Food and Beverage Service:
Serve food and beverages to guests promptly and courteously.
Monitor guest needs and refill drinks or replace utensils as required.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas throughout the event.
Guest Interaction:
Provide exceptional customer service by being attentive and approachable.
Address guest questions and requests promptly and professionally.
Work closely with the Banquet Captain and team to ensure a smooth event experience.
Event Cleanup:
Clear tables, remove trash, and clean service areas.
Assist with the breakdown and storage of furniture, equipment, and decor.
Ensure the venue is restored to its original condition after the event.
Qualifications:
Previous serving or event experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Must have Serving It Right certification (or be willing to obtain it).
