Bakery Chef

Bakery Chef (or Pastry Chef) creates, bakes, and decorates high-quality breads, pastries, and desserts while managing bakery operations, inventory, and staff. They develop seasonal menus, ensure strict food safety compliance, and often supervise junior bakers to maintain quality consistency.Key Responsibilities Production: Prepare a wide variety of baked goods (breads, pastries, cakes, cookies) following recipes while ensuring quality and consistency.Menu Development: Create new, innovative recipes and seasonal menus, including specialized decorations and presentations.Operations Management: Monitor inventory, order supplies, and maintain kitchen equipment.Safety & Sanitation: Maintain strict cleanliness standards, health regulations, and food safety protocols . Leadership: Train, mentor, and supervise junior baking staff, managing production schedules.Customer Service: Interact with clients for custom orders and special event menus.Requirements & Skills Experience: 2+ years of experience as a pastry chef, baker, or relevant role, often in restaurants or hotels.Education: Culinary arts certificate, degree in baking/pastry arts, or equivalent experience.Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient interaction, and ingredient measurements.Physical Ability: Ability to work early morning hours and stand for long periods in high-temperature environments.
