Catering Assistants – Aged Care, Coastal Villas

We are currently looking for 2 x Catering Assistants to join our kitchen team at Coastal Villas Retirement Village in the heart of the Kapiti Coast.

Available Positions:
Catering Assistant 1
Monday to Thursday: 11:00am – 2:00pm
Total: 12 hours per week
Catering Assistant 2
Friday: 10:30am – 7:00pm
Saturday: 11:00am – 2:00pm
Sunday: 11:00am – 2:00pm
Total: 14 hours per week

About the role:
As a Catering Assistant, you will:
Support the chef with meal preparation and service for approximately 75 residents
Help with Lunch Service in the Dining Room
Deliver meals to residents and assist in the café
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment
Assist with dishes, rubbish removal, and general kitchen cleaning
Provide friendly and positive service to residents


What we’re looking for
Ability to work safely in a busy commercial kitchen
A flexible, reliable, and team-focused attitude
Someone who can stay calm under pressure
Willingness to assist with functions or provide cover shifts when required
Previous kitchen experience is preferred, but not essential – full training provided
