The Role
We are looking for a Senior Diagnostic Technician who can independently diagnose complex faults using testing and data.
This role is suited to a technician who:
Enjoys solving difficult problems
Works methodically
Can support and guide other technicians
You will play a key role in diagnostics and workshop efficiency, not just general mechanical work.
What You’ll Do
Diagnose complex electrical, drivability, and engine management faults
Use live data, testing, and structured processes to identify root cause
Carry out repairs once faults are confirmed
Assist and guide other technicians with diagnostic jobs
Work across petrol, diesel, and 4WD vehicles
Perform servicing and mechanical repairs where required
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 7+ years experience as a qualified technician
Strong diagnostic ability across electrical and engine systems
Able to diagnose faults step-by-step using testing and data not guesswork
Confident working independently and making decisions
Organised, thorough, and structured in your approach
Able to clearly explain your diagnostic process
Experience with professional scan tools and live data interpretation
Experience with diesel and 4WD vehicles
Important
This is a hands-on role:
You will be on the tools daily
You will be expected to produce hours
You will be involved in real diagnostic work — not just advising
