Attendants in a hospital, also known as Nursing Assistants, are responsible for providing basic care to patients under the direction of registered nurses or other healthcare professionals. The job description of Attendants in a hospital typically includes the following:
• Assisting with daily activities: Helping patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Monitoring patient vital signs: Monitoring patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate, and respiratory rate, and reporting any significant changes to healthcare professionals.
• Assisting with mobility: Helping patients move around the hospital, such as transferring them to and from their beds or wheelchairs, and assisting with ambulation exercises.
• Cleaning and maintaining patient areas: Cleaning and maintaining patient areas, such as changing bed linens and keeping patient rooms tidy.
• Assisting with patient care procedures: Assisting healthcare professionals with procedures such as inserting catheters or changing dressings, under their direction.

• Ensuring patient safety: Adhering to hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety, including infection control measures and proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
