Job Description
Specialist, Instructional Design
The Specialist, Instructional Designer job provides course design support through evaluating and enhancing the current learning environments for organization's various employees. Working independently under limited supervision, this job ensures the quality and innovation of the training and development programs produced by instructional designers. This job also reviews and revises instructional and performance improvement materials and products in various formats.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
• Reviews methods of content delivery in the online, web-based, and in person environments using appropriate technologies.
• Evaluates engaging learning activates and course materials that improves retention and transfer of knowledge.
• Reviews both new and established training and development programs to improve learning effectiveness and efficiency.
• Oversees courses, curriculum, and supporting materials and programs for learning initiatives.
• Implements feedback from course evaluation and instructional design reviews to the current learning models.
• Coaches and delegates work to lower level professionals to ensure high-quality and timely completion of projects.
• Reviews training materials to ensure it meets instructional system design standards and reviews completed materials including graphics for accuracy.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of instructional tools or strategies when applied to a particular learning objective.
Educational Requirements
• University (Degree) Preferred
Work Experience
• 3+ Years Required; 5+ Years Preferred
