Introduction:
The role requires a strong understanding of the underlying products and an ability to liaise with all areas of the business including Sales, Trading, Middle Office and the clients to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
What will you be doing?
Understanding of terms in CSA related to new Clients and changes to existing to ensure they can be supported by the collateral management group.
Daily management of various data integrity checks and adjustments on legal documentation.
Oversight over new rules for Initial Margin segregation Variation Margin. Support any new controls, reporting and processes that need to be put in place to support the new Regulations, like Dodd Frank and the Uncleared Margin Rules, Brexit
Work on complex client requests, analyze and provide proposal to the business head in terms of collateral acceptability.
Liaise with the Client, Desk, Sales team, Legal, Portfolio Reconciliation teams and other departments to resolve outstanding breaks.
Contribute to the specification and testing of improvements for all systems and processes.
Uphold the controls and procedures for the team, review and update as necessary.
Cross train on all functions performed within the team and across the department
Manage front to end process of team
Provide the best possible service to both our internal and external clients.
Uphold the controls and procedures for the team, and highlight any control gaps identified to management to ensure that these are reviewed and addressed as necessary.
Contribute to process improvements within the team to drive efficiency and cost savings:
Suggest innovative solutions to improve efficiency and provide the AVP with a detailed breakdown to quantify the time/ headcount savings from the initiative
What we’re looking for:
Degree level or appropriate industry qualification.
Good knowledge of Investment Banking, industry and business fundamentals
Well organised with good time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritise tasks.
Able to work effectively as part of a large team
Willing to take on responsibility.
