Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Purchase professional with strong expertise in electrical procurement for FIBC manufacturing plants. The role is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted supply of electrical components for critical operations such as extrusion lines, circular looms, lamination, printing, and bag conversion lines, along with project and utility requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement
Source electrical components for extrusion lines, looms, lamination, printing, and conversion machines.
Procure motors, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, cables, switchgear, heaters, and controllers.
2. Vendor Management
Develop vendors for FIBC-specific and imported spares.
Coordinate with OEMs and identify cost-effective alternatives.
3. Breakdown & Spare Planning
Ensure quick procurement during breakdowns.
Maintain critical spare inventory and support failure analysis.
4. Cost Optimization
Negotiate pricing and annual rate contracts.
Optimize sourcing (import vs local).
5. Technical Coordination
Work with maintenance, production, and projects teams.
Ensure correct technical specifications.
6. Inventory Control
Maintain optimal stock with min-max levels.
Prevent downtime due to spare shortages.
7. Project Procurement
Handle sourcing for new lines, upgrades, and automation projects.
8. Compliance & Documentation
Maintain records, ensure audit readiness, and follow compliance standards.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of FIBC manufacturing machinery and electrical systems
Experience in handling imported machine spares (European/Asian OEMs)
Excellent negotiation and vendor development skills
Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally / others)
Ability to manage breakdown situations effectively
Strong coordination with cross-functional teams
Educational Qualification:
Diploma / B.E. / B. Tech in Electrical Engineering
Additional certification in Procurement/Supply Chain is an advantage
Experience Required:
8–10 Years (Mandatory experience in FIBC Industry)
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
