What you will do as the Assistant Director
Lead a small team conducting analytical and reporting activities, providing team members with clear direction, supervision and opportunities for development.
Research, investigate and analyse relevant information and data to develop insights, advice and recommended positions for consideration by the AER Board.
Design and facilitate processes for consultation with stakeholders and assess submissions from stakeholders on energy sector matters.
Prepare and oversee the preparation of written material, for example: issues papers, regulatory determinations, reports, correspondence, briefings, guidelines, advices, speeches and submissions.
Contribute to the planning and management of projects in a geographically dispersed work environment and provide team members with clear direction and support.
About you
In order to succeed in the role, you will have:
Demonstrated experience leading a team in a fast-paced, and large complex people centered organisation that is geographically dispersed.
Demonstrated experience in researching, investigating and analysing relevant information and data to develop and present insights, advice and recommended positions.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with proven ability in managing and preparing reports, meetings and other correspondence.
Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to negotiate with and influence internal and external stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
Tertiary qualifications in economics, corporate finance, law, public policy, engineering or related fields.

Salary: $127,908 to $141,555 per annum (plus 15.4% superannuation)
