Job Summary

Apprentice Plumber Job Summary: We are looking for Apprentice Plumbers to assist licensed plumbers in installing, maintaining, and testing plumbing systems in commercial buildings. The apprentice will learn the trade by performing tasks like identifying leaks, cutting and installing pipes, assisting with fixture replacements, and following safety regulations under the supervision of a qualified plumber.

Pay Range

$25-28 per hour

Apprentice Plumber Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assisting with testing: Assist with testing all new and existing plumbing systems, locate leaks, and repair pipes, toilets, faucets, drains, and other fixtures.
• Pipe installation: Cut, measure, and install new pipes following blueprints and building codes.
• Cleaning and maintenance: clean drains, remove blockages, and perform preventative maintenance checks on plumbing systems.
• Tool usage: Use various plumbing tools such as pipe cutters, wrenches, and drain snakes properly.
• Material handling: Gather and organize the necessary materials for each job.
• Code compliance: Understand and follow local plumbing codes and safety regulations.
• Basic mechanical aptitude: Comprehend how plumbing systems function and be able to read basic blueprints.
• Physical ability: Lift heavy objects, work in tight spaces, and stand for long periods.
• Attention to detail: Measure and install pipes accurately to prevent leaks.
• Problem-solving skills: Identify the source of plumbing issues and develop solutions.
• Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with experienced plumbers.
