Nhwelmen Construction is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. This position plays a key role in supporting our workforce through effective coordination of administrative, onboarding, payroll and communication processes. The Personnel Coordinator ensures that employee-related tasks run smoothly while contributing to a positive and respectful workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records and documentation
Coordinate job postings, monitor applicants, and schedule interviews
Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire checklists and exit interviews
Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits and general workplace matters
Perform payroll data entry, process payroll and maintain payroll records
Administer benefit enrollment and provide employee support for coverage questions
Assist in resolving workplace issues and fostering a healthy, respectful work environment
Prepare and maintain subcontractor agreements in accordance with company policies and project requirements
Track and organize personnel data to support internal reporting and process improvements
Lead or support initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture
Perform other duties as assigned to support the Management team

Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a personnel, administrative, or HR support role within Canada
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
Experience with Greenshield is an asset
Ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust with a diverse team
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
Ability to complete online orientations and digital training requirements as needed
Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and access to reliable transportation

Location: This position will be based out of our Kamloops office.
