The Commercial Project Manager provides leadership and project management oversight for large and complex commercial projects. Reporting directly to the Area Operations General Manager, this role ensures the safe, compliant, timely, and cost-effective installations at customer or company facilities. It supports the company’s commitment to safety and compliance for high-volume customer installations, adding value and reducing customer churn.
Candidates can be located in Calgary, AB, Surrey BC or Winnipeg, MB

What you’ll do:
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Develop business cases to obtain appropriate approvals (capital, expense, or customer).
Create project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Coordinate resources, track progress, and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and manage issues throughout the project lifecycle.
Effectively manage time, deadlines, and resources.
Ensure project deliverables meet required quality standards and specifications.
Collaborate with designers and engineers to drive continuous improvement for future projects or installations.
Motivate and guide project teams and stakeholders, fostering collaboration and resolving conflicts.
Partner with the HSE Team to promote and support a culture of safety and compliance, striving for Zero Harm.
Ensure general and sub-contractors adhere to company standards and regulatory requirements.
Leverage existing resources to maximize returns and build internal talent for future projects.
Ensure successful completion of project deliverables, including all required documentation.
Conduct post-project reviews to capture learnings and drive continuous improvement.
What you bring:
A college diploma or university degree in business administration, operations management, supply chain management, industrial engineering or a related field is preferred
Minimum 3 years of related experience
Gasfitter license is an asset
Professional certification in project management (PMP certification) is an asset
Proven experience in project management, preferably in commercial operations or energy infrastructure
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent problem solving and risk management capabilities
Knowledge of quality assurance standards and practices
Ability to coordinate and manage multiple stakeholders and resources
Demonstrated commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
