Job description
Position Summary:

The Assistant Human Resources Manager supports the HR Manager in executing HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. This role is integral in ensuring smooth HR operations and contributing to a positive work environment that aligns with the school’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Staffing:



Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, and scheduling interviews.



Support the onboarding and orientation of new employees.



Maintain and update the school’s HR database with recruitment and employee information.

Employee Relations:



Act as a liaison between staff and the HR Manager for resolving employee concerns.



Help manage employee grievances and facilitate conflict resolution.



Assist in promoting a positive and inclusive work culture.

Performance Management:



Support the HR Manager in coordinating the performance appraisal process.



Assist in tracking employee performance and identifying areas for development.



Provide administrative support for performance improvement plans.

Policy Administration:



Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.



Ensure employees are informed of and adhere to school policies.



Help maintain compliance with labor laws and school regulations.

Training and Development:



Coordinate logistics for training sessions and professional development programs.



Assist in identifying training needs across departments.



Track and document staff participation in training programs.

Compensation and Benefits:



Support the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, leave, and retirement plans.



Assist in managing payroll processes and ensuring accuracy.



Help conduct salary surveys and assist in salary reviews.

Employee Engagement and Retention:



Assist in organizing employee engagement activities, such as staff meetings, team-building events, and recognition programs.



Support initiatives aimed at improving employee satisfaction and retention.



Help analyze employee turnover data and suggest improvement strategies.

Administrative Support:



Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.



Prepare HR-related reports and documentation as needed.



Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, and maintaining files.

Qualifications:



MBA/PGDM/MMS in HR



5-6 years of experience in HR, preferably in an educational or school setting.



Basic knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.



Strong organizational and communication skills.



Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.



Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software.

Working Conditions:



Primarily works in an office environment within the school.
