All Student Life Communications and Marketing staff will contribute to the creation, implementation, and assessment of various marketing and communications initiatives. Job Summary Writes effective copy based on goals of a project, audience, and other factors, using the appropriate tone and word choice. Develops copy for various platforms (websites, social media, advertising, calendars, etc.) in a timely manner. Reviews and rewrites copy on many platforms to ensure writing is more effective, brief when necessary, and without mistakes (spelling, grammar, punctuation, accuracy of information, etc.). Doublechecks copy on projects before they are launched. Collaborates with graphic designers to effectively blend copy and design into effective marketing and communications. Writes and sets up email newsletters on the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform. Writes longer-form articles and blog posts. Manages websites, signage, social media captions, videos and closed captioning, ad brochures, and more. Works closely with graphic designers, photographers, videographers, social media coordinators, and campus partners to create these necessary campaigns. Works closely with various members of the marketing team and professional staff/clients from around the Office of Student Life. Responsibilities
