ABOUT THE ROLE
Amrize is looking for Yard Workers who will be responsible for aiding the shipping yard area for the precast plant. They are responsible for assisting with shipping and working with contractors in the yard. The yard team member assists with product needs while maintaining a safe, clean and organized environment.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
Receive oral instructions to determine work assignments.

Assist in loading products safely and efficiently
Checking invoices and verifying that correct product is provided
Assist with daily upkeep of the department including offloading trucks, organizing stock, and maintaining pallets and stock
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers
Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
Participate in daily Pre-Production Meetings
Complete Field Level Risk Assessments before beginning each task
Opening and closing duties as needed in the yard
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Required Training/Certifications: Valid driver’s license is required
Years of Experience: 1-2 years is preferred
Required Work Experience: Experience working in a production yard setting is preferred. Forklift and Overhead Crane ticket is considered an asset.
Additional Requirements:
Prior experience in a precast plant would be an asset
Safety Oriented
Able to lift 50 lbs
Able to work in a fast paced, high production environment
Willing to work overtime and shifts when needed including Saturdays
Able to work unsupervised
Able to work well with others
Good communication skills
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
