Job Description

Riverbend Co-op is hiring a part-time Yard Clerk at our Outlook Home Centre in Outlook, Saskatchewan. This position is a mix of yard and in-store hardware support, so the successful candidate will help customers both outside in the yard and inside the Home Centre. Riverbend Co-op is a dynamic retail co-operative serving multiple commodities across 14 communities. About the job:

As a Yard Clerk, you’ll help keep the yard running smoothly while also supporting the hardware store when needed. This role includes assisting customers, loading and organizing product, helping with deliveries, and stepping inside to support day-to-day hardware store tasks. It’s a good fit for someone who enjoys variety, is comfortable working outdoors and indoors, and can stay organized while helping members and customers find what they need.

What you’ll be doing:

Helping members and customers in the yard and inside the hardware store.
Loading, unloading, and putting away lumber, building materials, and other product deliveries.
Picking and preparing customer orders for pickup or delivery.
Keeping the yard, storage areas, and sales floor clean, organized, and safe.
Assisting with deliveries, carry-outs, product questions, and general Home Centre duties as needed.
Following safe work practices and helping maintain a safe shopping and working environment.

What you’ll need:

A positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to jump in where needed.
Comfort helping customers in both a yard setting and a retail hardware store setting.
The ability to lift and move products up to 50 lbs.
The ability to work safely, stay organized, and pay attention to your surroundings.
A team-focused approach and the ability to communicate clearly with customers and co-workers.
Honesty, trustworthiness, and a commitment to supporting our members and customers.
