Writer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Writer role based in Chennai. The Writer will create clear, engaging content for digital platforms, including social media posts, website pages, blog articles, and marketing materials that highlight student life and services at Oasis. Daily tasks include researching topics related to student living, drafting and revising copy, aligning content with brand voice and guidelines, and collaborating with operations and marketing teams to support campaigns and announcements. The role also involves gathering stories from residents, refining internal communications, and ensuring all written materials are accurate, inclusive, and consistent. The Writer is expected to contribute ideas for new content formats and help maintain a strong and positive online presence for Oasis.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging, and error-free content.
Candidates should possess research and storytelling skills to develop content based on student experiences, hostel activities, and industry trends.
Candidates should possess basic digital literacy and familiarity with social media platforms or content management tools.
Candidates should possess good communication and collaboration skills to work closely with on-site staff and cross-functional teams.
Candidates should possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple content tasks and deadlines.
Relevant experience in content writing, journalism, communications, or marketing is beneficial.
A degree or coursework in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Interest in student housing, education, or community-building environments is an advantage.
