Job Description
Job Role: WLAN Software Engineer – Linux Driver & Firmware
Work Experience: 3 to 10 Years
Location: PAN India {Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, Noida, Gurgaon, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bhubaneswar, Pollachi, Kochi, Manesar}
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain WLAN Linux device drivers (802.11ax/be preferred)
• Design, implement, and debug WLAN firmware (802.11ac/n/ax/be)
• Optimize firmware performance and implement enhancements
• Work with hostapd and wpa_supplicant for Linux-based WLAN systems
• Cross-compile, port, and integrate WLAN software across platforms
• Collaborate with hardware, embedded, and validation teams to ensure robust WLAN solutions
• Troubleshoot and debug wireless issues in Linux environments
Must-Have Technical Skills:
• Strong experience in Linux WLAN device driver development
• Hands-on experience in WLAN firmware development (802.11ac/n/ax/be)
• Solid understanding of networking/wireless protocols
• Experience with hostapd, wpa_supplicant
• Cross-compiling and porting experience
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming and embedded software debugging
Good-to-Have Skills:
• Exposure to wireless system performance analysis
• Knowledge of Wi-Fi standards and protocols
• Familiarity with FPGA/SoC bring-up for WLAN subsystems
