Job Title: Video Editor
Job Summary:
A Video Editor is responsible for editing raw video footage into high-quality content for films, advertisements, social media, television, or corporate use. They work closely with directors, producers, and clients to ensure the final output aligns with the desired message and creative vision.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review raw footage and select the best clips for editing
• Trim, cut, and arrange video sequences into a coherent story
• Add visual effects, transitions, graphics, and animations
• Synchronize audio, including dialogue, music, and sound effects
• Color correct and enhance video quality
• Collaborate with directors, producers, and clients for feedback
• Ensure consistency in style, branding, and tone
• Export and deliver final videos in required formats and resolutions
• Manage and organize video files and assets
Required Skills:
• 1 – 5 years of experience
• Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects)
• Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition
• Knowledge of color grading and audio editing
• Attention to detail and creativity
• Time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Basic understanding of camera work and lighting (optional but beneficial)
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media, Communications, or related field (optional)
• Proven experience or portfolio of edited videos
• Familiarity with different video formats and platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TV, etc.)
