Job Description
We run an international documentary channel about megaprojects, infrastructure and construction, with a growing audience. We're looking for a dependable long-form editor to join us for the long run — someone who's especially strong at clean animations and map work, because that's the heart of what makes our videos work.
You'd be handed a fully prepared package for every video: a bilingual script, a ready voice-over file, exact on-screen text with timecodes, and clear footage notes. Your job is to turn that into a polished 8–10 minute documentary. No guesswork, no writing — we've built a tight, structured workflow so you can focus purely on great editing.
What we need you to be genuinely good at:
Footage that always matches what the narration is talking about — accuracy first
Clean schematic animations (tunnels, routes, cross-sections) and clear, accurate maps
Precise on-screen text: you place only the exact overlay strings we give you, nothing improvised
Tight pacing, smooth b-roll rhythm, professional audio mix (music always sits under the voice)
How we work:
Every project is tracked on a shared board — you move your own card as you progress
You deliver the finished MP4 as a file/link; we handle the upload ourselves
We check work carefully and give clear, specific feedback — a maximum of three correction points per video, so please always watch your own edit through before sending
To start: We begin with one paid trial video so we can both see if it's a fit. If it goes well, you become our go-to editor with steady, ongoing work. In your application, please share 1–2 long-form samples that show your animation and map work specifically, and tell us in one line what software you use.
We're a fair, organized team and we value editors who take pride in getting the details right. If that's you, we'd love to see your work.
