Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Warehouse/Showroom Manager to lead our distribution and retail operations with energy and precision. This pivotal role combines overseeing warehouse logistics, inventory management, and showroom presentation to ensure seamless operations, exceptional customer experience, and continuous process improvement. Duties
Manage daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment to meet operational targets.
Oversee transportation planning and logistics coordination utilizing transportation management systems (TMS) to optimize freight movement and reduce costs.
Implement process improvements using Lean principles and continuous improvement strategies to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce waste.
Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and freight carriers to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
Utilize ERP systems such as AS400 or equivalent to monitor inventory levels, production planning, procurement, and supply chain analytics for informed decision-making.
Develop budgets for warehouse operations, monitor expenses, and analyze profit & loss statements to maximize profitability.
Lead distribution management efforts including dispatching, fleet management, materials management, and warehouse distribution strategies.
Drive demand planning and procurement activities to align inventory levels with sales forecasts while managing inventory control effectively.
Skills
Proven experience in warehouse supervision or operations management within a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of supply chain management principles including logistics, distribution management, procurement, and inventory management.
Expertise in process management methodologies such as Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms like AS400 or similar systems, and supply chain analytics tools.
Knowledge of transportation planning systems (TMS), freight forwarding (including NVOCC), 3PL partnerships, and dispatching processes.
Skilled in budgeting, demand planning, production scheduling, and demand forecasting techniques.
Ability to supervise teams effectively while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in shipping & receiving procedures and order fulfillment processes.
Strong communication skills for coordinating with vendors, carriers, internal teams, and senior management.
