About the role
We are seeking applicants with excellent communication and customer service skills who enjoy working as part of a team to join the Clerical Workforce team at Western Health.
We have both permanent and casual positions currently available.
Key responsibilities:
Clerical staff cover all inpatient wards and day procedure centres across Footscray, Sunshine, Williamstown, Bacchus Marsh, Melton and Sunbury campuses.
Responsibilities vary by ward or work area but include managing reception, clerical and data entry duties relating to the patient journey, communicating with teams across the organisation, facilitating patient movements, and the maintenance of patient medical records.
Our shift times vary but largely grouped into AM shifts (approx. 07:30-16:00), PM shifts (from 16:00-21:30), and in select areas there is also Night Duty (23:00-07:00).
Applicants willing and able to work afternoon (PM) shifts and night duty are encouraged to apply.
About you:
To be successful, applicants will have the following skills and experience:
Excellent communication, customer service and computer skills
Enjoy working both autonomously as well as part of a team
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritise duties, work under pressure, and ability to adapt and be flexible to change
Knowledge of and experience in health care is desirable
