In this part time ward Clerk role based in Richmond, you will be responsible for first point of contact for patients being admitted to ward, meeting and greeting patient’s visitor, managing appointments and referrals, and ensuring upkeep of patient files. Strong administrative and computer skills are a must in this role, the position is part time (20 hours) allowing you to flex this position around your life commitments.
You will make an impact by:
Leading by example with excellent customer service, time management and an aptitude for a variety of systems and software such as IPM.
Building strong relationships with our consultants and patients and demonstrating the Epworth values
Providing support to a team of staff and the rehabilitation team through the adoption of a can-do attitude and role-up-your-sleeves approach.
To be successful in this role…
You will be a quick learner; quick to think on your feet when faced with problems, and a multi-tasker, used to dealing with numerous tasks at any one time.
Excellent communication skills both in person, written and on the telephone
An empathetic, friendly and professional manner
Relevant clerical experience and administrative skills
Basic computer skills, including accurate keyboard skills
A sense of ownership and accountability regarding the work you undertake
Demonstrated team player with an ability to work as a team member in a multidisciplinary environment
An ability to accept direction
