About the Role:
Be part of a once-in-a-generation virtual care transformation for kids and families across Victoria! These are Fixed-Term, Full-Time position at 80 hours per fortnight within the Allied and Digital Health Division, funded by the RCH Foundation for 18 months. There are two incredible positions available!
The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) is building the RCH Virtual Care Hub — a $1.38 million RCH Foundation-funded program to transform how we deliver specialised paediatric care to children and families closer to home. As a Virtual Care Senior Analyst, you will be at the hands-on heart of this delivery — configuring, testing and deploying virtual care capabilities that will directly improve how children and families across Victoria access care, including those in rural and regional communities. Working within a collaborative program team alongside the Director Virtual Care and Project Manager, as well as the broader Digital Innovation & EMR team, you will bring clinical workflows to life through the RCH Patient Portal — building telehealth appointment workflows, GP e-consult tools, remote monitoring modules and patient-facing digital features.

Classification for this position is in accordance with Award 10 - Managers and Administrative Workers.
The successful candidate will be appointed from AO71 (Grade 7, Level 1) to AO75 (Grade 7, Level 5), 1.0 FTE base salary $114,436.40 to $124,912.84 per annum, plus superannuation.

What you'll achieve:
Configure, build, test and deploy virtual care capabilities within the RCH Patient Portal — including virtual specialist clinic appointments, GP e-consult workflows, pre-visit questionnaires, remote symptom monitoring modules and automated escalation pathways
Analyse clinical workflows and develop functional solutions that reflect a deep understanding of user requirements
Monitor, investigate and resolve incidents and service requests related to virtual care platforms, providing responsive day-to-day support to clinical teams
Facilitate end-user workshops and software demonstrations to gather workflow requirements and inform design decisions
Support end-user adoption, delivering virtual care platform training to clinical staff — including telehealth tools, Patient Portal features and remote monitoring workflows
Support data collection against program KPIs (Patient Portal adoption, e-consult volumes, appointment DNA rates) to underpin grant acquittal reporting

If this sounds like you, or if you would like more information, please click here for the position description.

Your skills and experience:
Tertiary qualification in Healthcare, Health Informatics, Information Technology or a related field, and/or relevant industry experience in a digital health or ICT role
Demonstrated experience in the configuration, build and support of enterprise digital health platforms or information systems
Experience working in or alongside healthcare services, with an understanding of clinical workflows and patient-centred care principles
Experience with Epic EMR, Epic MyChart or the RCH Patient Portal (or equivalent consumer-facing digital health platform)
Experience in telehealth platform support, remote monitoring tools or virtual care program delivery

About the Virtual Care Program:
Virtual care is a strategic priority for RCH, enabling the hospital to extend specialised paediatric expertise beyond its walls through telehealth, wearable devices, smartphone apps, digital portals and AI-enabled tools. The Stage 1 Virtual Care Hub builds on a proven series of successful RCH pilots — including virtual models of care for Hospital in the Home, Cystic Fibrosis remote monitoring and Complex Asthma management — and will embed virtual care as routine practice across Specialist Clinics and beyond.
This is a real opportunity to contribute to meaningful, lasting change in how children and families across Victoria — including those in rural and regional areas — access world-class paediatric care.
