Role Description
The Videographer and Editor is a full-time, on-site role based at Sky Mentors Academy in Jaipur. This role is responsible for planning, shooting, and editing high-quality video content that showcases the academy’s training environment, student stories, and aviation programs. Daily tasks include operating cameras and lighting equipment, filming classes, simulations, events, and promotional content, and organising footage for efficient editing workflows. The Videographer and Editor will edit videos for web, social media, and marketing campaigns, add basic motion graphics and sound, and collaborate with the marketing and training teams to align content with branding and educational goals. The role also involves maintaining equipment, managing file storage, and delivering projects within agreed timelines.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality videos, reels, and promotional content.
• Capture academy events, classroom sessions, simulator training, interviews, testimonials, and behind-the-scenes footage.
• Set up and operate cameras, lighting, microphones, and other production equipment.
• Edit short-form and long-form videos with engaging storytelling, graphics, music, and captions.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative content ideas and execute content calendars.
• Ensure all content aligns with Sky Mentors Academy's brand identity and quality standards.
• Organise and manage video files, footage, and production assets efficiently.
• Stay updated with the latest social media trends, editing techniques, and content formats.
Qualification
• 1+ years of experience in videography and video editing.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing software.
• Hands-on experience operating DSLR/Mirrorless cameras and related filming equipment.
• Good understanding of camera settings, composition, lighting, framing, and audio recording.
• Ability to edit engaging short-form and long-form videos for social media and digital platforms.
• Basic knowledge of motion graphics and Adobe After Effects is an added advantage.
• Creative mindset with excellent storytelling and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media, Mass Communication, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• A strong portfolio showcasing videography and editing work is mandatory.
