Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in editing raw video footage into cohesive, polished videos suitable for social media platforms like Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and Facebook.
• Learn how to apply effects, transitions, graphics, and text overlays under the guidance of senior editors.
• Organize and manage video files and assets to ensure smooth workflow and easy access.
• Collaborate with the creative team to understand the project goals and contribute ideas for video content creation.
• Assist in formatting video files for different social media platforms (e.g., optimizing aspect ratios and resolutions).
• Take feedback from senior editors and make revisions based on that input.
• Gain exposure to the full video editing workflow from start to finish, including preparation, editing, and post-production tasks.
• Support content creators in editing and refining social media videos, ensuring they meet brand standards and appeal to target audiences.
Key Skills And Qualifications
• Familiarity with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro (or a strong desire to learn these programs).
• A creative mindset with an eye for detail, particularly in producing engaging and shareable social media content.
• Basic understanding of video formats, resolutions, aspect ratios, and frame rates commonly used on social media platforms.
• Strong willingness to learn and grow in the video editing field, especially in the realm of social media content.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• A portfolio or sample of previous video editing work (if available, but not required).
Preferred Qualifications
• Basic knowledge of color correction, sound design, and video effects.
• Interest in motion graphics, animation, and other creative elements for enhancing social media videos.
• Previous experience or coursework related to video production, especially for digital platforms and social media.
