Vice President - Contracts & Regulatory - Infrastructure
Job Description
Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs):
- Lead negotiation, drafting, and management of PPAs.
- Handle PPA interpretation, commercial claims, and dispute resolution.
- Ensure timely filing and realization of contractual claims.
- Structure contracts to maximize commercial benefits and minimize risks.
Contract Management:
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of energy and commercial contracts.
- Ensure contract compliance and governance.
- Coordinate with Legal, Finance, and Operations teams on contract execution.
- Lead collaboration agreements under Energy 2.0 initiatives and finalize royalty structures with partners.
Business Development Support:
- Provide regulatory and contractual support for new projects and bids.
- Support Business Development in structuring new PPAs.
- Assess regulatory and commercial feasibility of new business opportunities.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build strong relationships with regulatory authorities, government ministries, utilities, and industry associations.
- Represent the company in industry forums and policy discussions.
- Influence regulatory policies that support business growth.
Planning & Budgeting:
- Prepare Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the function.
- Monitor revenue performance against budget.
- Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
Team Management:
- Lead and develop the Regulatory & Contracts team.
- Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs.
- Build a high-performance and collaborative team culture.

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Law, or Commerce.
- MBA preferred.
- LLM or PG Diploma in Law/Regulatory Affairs is an advantage.
Experience:
- 20+ years in Regulatory Affairs, Energy Contracts, or Commercial roles.
- Strong experience with electricity regulations, PPAs, and contractual disputes in the power/energy sector.
