VCE English Tutor
Job Description
To us, tutoring isn’t about reading essays aloud or correcting punctuation. It’s about guiding students through one of the most important subjects in VCE, helping them find their voice, build confidence, and write with clarity and purpose.
We are searching for enthusiastic VCE English tutors who are passionate about literature, writing, and mentoring students through Years 11 and 12.
About the role
Teach small group classes (max 10 students) in VCE English Units 3 & 4
Cover Analytical Text Response, Creative Response (Framework of Ideas), and Argument Analysis
Run weekly 1-on-1 check-ins with targeted feedback on essays, plans, and practice pieces
Model high-scoring paragraph structures and give feedback aligned to VCAA marking criteria
Use our ready-made notes, essay plans, exemplars, SACs, and exam practice (resource creation opporutnies available now too)
Teach both online and at our Wantirna South centre
What we're looking for
High achievement in VCE English (40+ study score ), or relevant uni-level study (Arts, Law, Education, Journalism, etc.)
95+ ATAR — or send your latest academic results
Clear, patient explainer who can simplify complex ideas
Reliable and committed for the full academic year
Recent Year 12 grads welcome

Around 10-15 hours a week
Able to commute to Wantirna South and teach online
Willing to complete our training program
Prior teaching experience ideal, but not necessary
