What you will be doing:
Bookkeeping:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
• Record day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, expenses, and revenue.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial reports.
Tax Preparation:
• Prepare and review individual and business tax returns in compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate and timely filings.
• Provide tax planning advice to optimize financial strategies.
Financial Reporting:
• Generate and analyze financial reports for management review.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and budget forecasts.
Communication and Collaboration:
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial information and ensure accuracy in reporting.
• Communicate effectively with clients to address inquiries related to bookkeeping and tax matters.
Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting and tax regulations.
• Assist in internal and external audits as required.
Continuous Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process improvement in financial procedures.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and implement improvements accordingly.
Who are you:
• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping and tax preparation in US.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks), Microsoft Excel, and tax preparation software.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making.
• Ethical Standards: Adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality in handling financial information.
