Brief Roles and responsibilities
• Medical Oversight: Coordinate and oversee all medical care and clinical services.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as MTP, PCPNDT, AERB, and Radiation Safety.
• Strategic Analysis: Analyze department mix and consultant needs, participate in tariff revision and compensation planning.
• Financial Management: Monitor and rationalize doctor costs, rationalize surgical and medical charges.
• Quality Assurance: Responsible for clinician-related quality monitoring, accreditation, and quality assurance services.
• Committee Participation: Coordinate and conduct various medical committees and meetings.
• Reporting and Communication: Oversee reporting and communication of quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.
• Consultant Management: Address consultant requirements, recruitment, induction, onboarding, and performance monitoring.
• Complaint Management: Address patient concerns, complaints, and potential medico-legal issues.
• Education and Training: Ensure training of doctors on patient safety, service excellence, and healthcare communication.
• Budget Planning: Prepare biomedical equipment budget, plan, rationalize, and optimize equipment utilization.
• Record Management: Oversee medical records department and initiate digitization efforts.
• Awareness Programs: Conduct awareness programs for service excellence initiatives and effective communication strategies.
• Audit and Accreditation: Conduct medical audits and facilitate JCI/NABH accreditation.
• Leadership and Team Engagement: Engage with the team through training, feedback, coaching, and recognition to motivate desired results.
• Academic Initiatives: Evaluate and initiate academic activities and programs.
• Media and Government Liaison: Manage media relations, government liaison, and support hospital profitability.
• Clinical Governance: Address clinical governance issues and initiate appropriate action when necessary.
Qualification:
• MBBS with MBA/MHA
