Timber Truss & Frame Detailer
Location: Kelso, NSW
Employment Type: Full Time
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Timber Truss & Frame Detailer to join our growing team based in Kelso, NSW.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in residential timber construction who enjoys working with builders, producing accurate designs, and being part of a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
About the Role
You will be responsible for detailing and designing timber roof trusses, wall frames and floor systems using MiTek software for residential and commercial projects. You’ll work closely with builders, estimators and production staff to ensure projects are accurate, efficient and ready for manufacture.
Key Responsibilities
Detail timber roof trusses, wall frames and floor systems using MiTek Sapphire
Interpret architectural plans and engineering requirements
Produce accurate layouts, fixing details and manufacturing information
Liaise with builders, clients and internal production staff
Ensure jobs comply with Australian Standards and engineering requirements
Assist with project coordination and scheduling where required
Skills & Experience
Experience in timber truss and frame detailing preferred
Experience using MiTek Sapphire or 2020 software highly regarded
Strong understanding of residential construction methods
Ability to read and interpret building plans
High attention to detail and organisational skills
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
