Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be proficient in diagnosing and repairing various types of trailers and related equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach to maintenance and repair, ensuring that all trailers are safe, functional, and meet industry standards.
Responsibilities Tasks
Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
Inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
Inspect motor in operation
Review work orders
Road test motor vehicles
Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems
Repair or replace mechanical units or components
Test and adjust units to specifications
Complete reports to record problems and work performed
Qualifications
Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive repair and diagnostics
Proficient in using hand and power tools for maintenance and repairs
Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment
Familiarity with electrical systems and schematics
Experience with welding and HVAC systems is a plus
Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a team environment
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $32.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
