Tribe Lead - Core, ASB Bank
Are you ready to take on a dynamic challenge for one of New Zealand's leading banks? We are seeking an exceptional Senior Leader to play a pivotal role in leading our core banking transformation. This Auckland based role is a unique opportunity to design and lead the transformation of ASB Bank.
About the Role
As the Tribe Lead - Core, you will be responsible for defining the strategic direction and roadmap for the Core Tribe, ensuring alignment with ASB's overarching strategies. You will lead cross-functional squads to deliver exceptional experiences and drive business value, focusing on the strategic modernisation of ASB's core banking systems. This role will report to our Core Banking Transformation Executive and will require collaboration with bank-wide teams and leaders to ensure smooth and timely execution.
Key Responsibilities
Drive the strategic modernisation of ASB's core banking systems.
Define the strategic direction and roadmap for the Core Tribe.
Lead cross-functional squads to deliver business outcomes.
Collaborate with bank-wide teams to ensure smooth execution.
Manage the end-to-end value chain with a focus on risk, compliance, and cost.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Proven experience as a cross-functional leader with exposure to business strategy, product management, and customer value realisation in a commercial banking environment.
Proven people leadership experience, having built and led teams more than 100+
Strong foundational understanding of technology architecture and systems.
Solution-focused mindset with confidence in decision-making.
Ability to translate complex information into business language.
Experience working across multiple stakeholders and teams with a proven ability to influence.
