Job Purpose
: To contribute and to protect the Company's reputation for integrity by (a) providing legal advice and counseling within assigned area of expertise in data protection, privacy laws, regulatory frameworks with special focus on Emerging laws, and commercial contracts(b)supporting Lead Expert Counsel in the area of expertise.
Job Context and Major Challenges:
Key challenges in the job include (a)Expertise Advisory – working along with Lead Expert Counsel in the areas of expertise (b)Business Counselling – Offering expert legal advice without creating barriers on matters involving Medium to Low risk (c)Partnering, Collaborating and influencing business legal teams for better compliance, governance of Grasim businesses for all Emerging & Tech laws; ISO Standards implementation and Tech implementation for legal and compliance work

Supporting Actions
Ensuring effective legal risk management (strategic & specialist focus)
Ensuring effective legal risk management in the field of legal expertise by: Advising on Expert legal matters with
Medium to Low Risk
of the Business in the area of expertise. Assist in monitoring and executing the upcoming regulatory legal compliances for 8 businesses of Grasim. Support in developing and influencing processes and methods. in order to protect company assets and the company's and its stakeholders' interests
Reporting to Lead Expert Counsel
In cooperation with Lead Expert Counsel and Lead Legal Business Counsels (where appropriate), and file reports on material legal risks and proceedings by:(a) Collecting, summarizing and updating data (b)Using IT-Tools and experience in risk evaluation in order to meet the requirements of the regulators, Board, Management, Auditors and to inform on relevant data and risks (c)Preparing dashboards, reports for review of CLO and Business Management.
Co-operation with Lead Expert Counsel and Business Lead Counsels
In cooperation with Lead Expert Counsel and Business Lead Legal Counsels (as needed) in managing Emerging laws based on
Medium to Low Risk
Value assigned under the Priority Matrix, managing legal compliances by Studying the emerging laws
• Setting up a strategy and analysing the compliances in light with the compliance and governance in the area of expertise.
• Designing appliable ISO stanards implementation
• Implementing tech tools for achieving these objectives
Internal knowledge sharing and Training in area of expertise
Providing up-to-date knowledge on ISO Standards, Emerging laws, legal tech tools via classroom or webex sessions including developing training materials in order to maximize the benefit the best-in-class legal community and proactively influence Business behaviour to identify business opportunities and minimise risk.
Managing Outside Counsel in area of expertise
In cooperation with Lead Expert Counsel, manage outside counsel by (a) listing out the options (b)clearly instructing them (c)in order to achieve cost efficiency and high value and timely legal advice.
