Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Delivery & Lesson Planning: Design and execute comprehensive, engaging lesson plans for prose, poetry, and grammar. Prepare daily instructional materials, including interactive presentations and detailed notes.
Assessment & Evaluation: Develop and administer diverse formative and summative assessments, including MCQs, analytical essays, and reading comprehension worksheets. Track student progress and provide regular, constructive feedback to students and parents.
Inclusive Education: Implement differentiated teaching strategies that accommodate diverse learning speeds and styles, ensuring an inclusive classroom environment where all students can actively participate.
Language Development: Focus on enhancing the core competencies of reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Utilize bilingual support techniques when introducing complex grammar or literary concepts to ensure clear comprehension.
Classroom Management: Maintain a structured, positive, and disciplined learning environment that encourages student participation and respect.
Co-Curricular Engagement: Organize and mentor students for literary activities such as debates, elocutions, spell-bees, drama, and contributions to the school magazine or newsletter.
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) or Master’s Degree (M.A.) in English from a recognized university.
Professional Degree: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) with English as a primary teaching subject.
Certification: CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) Paper-II or equivalent STET qualification is mandatory.
Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of experience teaching English at the middle or secondary level (Grades 6–10) in a CBSE school.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using smartboard technology, educational software, and digital tools for interactive presentations and classroom management.
