We're seeking a Freelance Textiles & Print Designer for part-time hours to play a key role in shaping our brand’s visual identity. You’ll collaborate closely with our team to create distinctive, eye-catching textile designs that resonate with the Showpo customer. Your role will involve bringing creativity and innovation to our fashion collections. If you're excited to contribute fresh ideas and elevate our designs, we’d love to hear from you!
Day to day, you will:
Conduct thorough research on print and fashion trends, including colour palettes, and create detailed concepts and mood boards to inform the seasonal Creative Brief.
Develop and design original artwork and illustrations for seasonal textile prints across various categories, ensuring fresh and innovative designs.
Present and articulate design concepts clearly to internal teams, effectively communicating the vision and rationale behind seasonal print ranges.
Collaborate with the cross-functional team to bring textile design concepts from initial idea to final product, ensuring they align with the brand strategy and commercial objectives.
Work directly with the Design Manager to ensure that print developments are consistent with Showpo’s seasonal themes and overall brand identity.
Build a deep understanding of Showpo’s target customer to ensure that designs resonate with our audience.
Actively participate in discussions and initiatives across departments to ensure that strategic and business goals are met and aligned with the overall creative direction.
Who are we looking for?
5+ years experience in Graphic Design/Print Design
Previous experience working within the fashion industry (essential)
Fully proficient with using adobe suite
Creative thinker who can display examples of confidence in presenting ideas and collaborating with key stakeholders to design innovative assets for the business
Good knowledge of design trends aligned with the Showpo brand
Ability to work across multiple projects
Enthusiastic, energetic and highly motivated team player who is confident in exploring new ways of working
