As a Territory Sales Manager, you will be critical in enhancing customer relationships and driving business growth. This role is centered around nurturing existing accounts and pursuing new business opportunities, all fueled by your passion for performance and partnership.
What You Will Do:
• Act as the Customer Champion: Foster and maintain strong customer relationships within a team-based selling model. Educate customers on ordering platforms, provide menu consultations, and offer product recommendations and pricing strategies to support their success.
• Drive Sales Performance: Your success hinges on effectively selling to customers, driving case growth, and acquiring new business accounts. You’ll achieve this through compelling sales presentations tailored to each customer. Effective time and territory management are essential.
• Collaborative Selling: Work alongside our Specialists to maximize penetration opportunities and onboard new accounts. Collaborate closely with marketing, supply chain, and customer service teams to ensure seamless product delivery.
• Lead with Insights: Identify and develop new business opportunities using market intelligence, business directories, client referrals, and participation in relevant organizations and events.
• Resolve Delivery Issues: Manage deliveries according to the routing schedule provided by the transportation department; address any problems that arise during the order process, such as delivery errors and stock shortages.
• Gain Competitive Edge: Stay informed about market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ offerings. Share valuable insights with customers to enhance their experience.
• Stay Active: Use your personal vehicle to regularly check in, conduct site visits, and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
Work Environment: Daily responsibilities require an outside-the-office atmosphere as you engage with customers in various weather and temperature conditions.
Minimum Qualifications:
• 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.
• Experience in foodservice, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality preferred.
• Excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to build relationships and cold call for new business development.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
• A competitive spirit with a drive to exceed expectations.
• Strong problem-solving, organization, and negotiation skills.
• A collaborative mindset to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Tech-savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus.
• Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.
