Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Teppanyaki Chef, located in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The Teppanyaki Chef will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting meals in front of customers using traditional Japanese teppanyaki techniques. Daily tasks include selecting the freshest ingredients, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presenting engaging culinary performances, and ensuring exceptional flavor and presentation in every dish. The role also requires collaboration with the kitchen team and adherence to safety and hygiene regulations.
Qualifications
• Proficiency in Japanese culinary techniques, specifically teppanyaki cooking, food preparation, and knife skills
• Ability to engage with customers during live cooking, strong presentation skills, and dedication to exceptional customer service
• Knowledge of food safety practices, kitchen hygiene standards, and proper food storage techniques
• Teamwork, time management abilities, and strong communication skills
• Experience in menu development and familiarity with Japanese cuisine is an advantage
• Professional culinary training or equivalent hands-on experience in a similar role
• Passion for culinary excellence and commitment to maintaining quality standards
