In this role, you will:
deliver inclusive, engaging, and high-quality Design Technologies lessons aligned with the IB MYP and SACE
inspire students through practical, hands-on, and innovative learning experiences across design, production, and emerging technologies
support students to develop skills in areas such as electronics, design processes, and workshop practices
contribute to learning programs that may include materials and workshop-based projects, as well as electronics and prototyping experiences for students in Years 7 to 12
work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and the wider community to support learner success
use effective assessment and feedback practices to monitor progress and improve outcomes
create a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment where all students can thrive
What we are looking for?
We are particularly interested in applicants who can demonstrate:
experience and/or qualifications in Design Technologies education
capacity to teach electronics and related technologies, particularly in middle years maker space programs
experience and/or confidence working in a workshop environment, including practical materials-based learning
a strong understanding of safe workshop practices
the ability to design engaging programs that connect creativity, design thinking, and practical problem-solving
a commitment to inclusive teaching, positive relationships, and continuous improvement
Experience in Woodwork and/or Metalwork workshop-based teaching would be highly regarded.
