The Opportunity
Lithgow City Council has an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Storekeeper to join their team for a period of up to 12 months in Lithgow, NSW.
Reporting to the Financial Services Manager you will be responsible for the support and contribution of the efficient and effective management of Council’s store operations. The position is also required to assist in daily operations including ordering, administration duties, and plant and store records. The position is required to provide quality customer service to internal and external customers and to work effectively with other departments within Council.
More specifically, your duties will include (but will not be limited to):
Maintain Store; including issue and receive stores, process data, perform stocktaking duties
Manage Access to Council’s Depot
Maintain Master Key System, key register and key and lock supplies
Record water meter reader installation information
Procurement of supplies and materials
Process customer enquiries

About you
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
Class C driver’s licence
Excellent customer service focus skills
Demonstrated experience of stores business processes
Proficient use of a personal computer
Current Forklift class LF Licence
Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of Work Health and Safety
Demonstrated commitment to the principals of honesty and integrity
In addition, an ideal candidate would have experience in being able to read and accurately summaries documents, and have proficient use of office machinery including a photocopier.

Between $1,142.50 and $1,263.25 per week, commensurate with your skills, qualifications and experience
Temporary Term Contract, up to 12 months
Full-time, 38 hours per week
