Temporary Helper

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED

6-12 months experience in automotive/mechanical repairs.

Knowledge of basic computer skills.

Requires a Valid Driver's License (subject to motor vehicle review)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

Assists in the construction, operation and maintenance for the specific utility.

Performs ground level job functions as required.

Assists in loading and unloading truck, tool van, pole trailer, wire trailer, and warehouse trucks.

Keeps tools, vehicles, truck, equipment and work area clean.

Assists with inventory of tools and equipment to and from the project work area.

Assists with checking out materials for the construction crews as assigned.

Controls and directs traffic when personnel are working in designated area.

Prepares reports and records on appropriate forms.

Assist other mechanics by cleaning, greasing and oiling company vehicles.

Maintain a clean/safe work environment and practice safe work habits.

Conduct safety inspections on vehicles, equipment, and shop area. Adhere to company safety policies.

Utilize company vehicles and equipment in safe manner while abiding to applicable State and Local laws as well as company policies, procedures, and standards.

Assist with inventory control, sales order, and record keeping.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
