About the job
Responsibilities:
• Technical SEO Audits: Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits to identify and prioritize website issues impacting search engine performance.
• Crawl Optimization: Analyze crawl behavior, optimize robots.txt, sitemaps, and internal linking structure to ensure efficient crawling and indexing by search engines.
• Indexation Management: Monitor and manage website indexation, identify and resolve indexing errors, and optimize canonicalization.
• Core Web Vitals: Analyze and optimize Core Web Vitals (LCP, FID, CLS) to improve website speed, user experience, and search rankings.
• Rendering & JavaScript SEO: Understand how search engines render JavaScript, implement best practices for JavaScript SEO, and troubleshoot rendering issues using Chrome DevTools.
• Schema Markup: Implement and maintain schema markup to enhance search engine understanding of website content and improve rich snippet appearance.
• Log File Analysis: Analyze server log files to identify crawl errors, understand search engine bot behavior, and optimize server infrastructure for SEO.
• Troubleshooting & Debugging: Use Chrome DevTools and other debugging tools to identify and resolve technical SEO issues.
• SEO Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor key SEO metrics, track performance, and generate reports on technical SEO initiatives.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with content, development, and marketing teams to implement SEO best practices and ensure website optimization.
• Staying Up-to-Date: Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and technical advancements.
• Hreflang Implementation: Implement and manage hreflang tags correctly to signal language and regional targeting to search engines, ensuring proper indexing and avoiding duplicate content issues for multilingual websites.
Bonus Points:
• Experience with large-scale websites.
• Experience with international SEO.
• Knowledge of other web analytics tools.
• Contributions to the SEO community (e.g., blog posts, conference talks).
2+ years of experience, probably a web developer turned SEO will be preferred, but not a strict criteria for the role as long as you know the technical game.
