Job Title: Operation Sr Executive/Assistant Manager - Engineering and Compliance

Location: Mumbai
Reports To: Senior Management

Job Summary

Operation Executive - Engineering and Compliance is responsible for overseeing engineering operations, ensuring regulatory and organizational compliance, and driving sustainability initiatives in alignment with ISO standards and LEED certification requirements. This role requires leading maintenance operations, managing building systems, ensuring safety and compliance, and implementing energy-efficient practices. The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering strategies with organizational objectives while ensuring adherence to statutory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Operations Management

Oversee and maintain the functionality of building systems, including HVAC, MEP, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety.
Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure optimal system performance.
Manage engineering upgrades and renovations with minimal operational disruption.
Compliance and Certifications

Ensure compliance with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) for quality, environmental management, and occupational health and safety.
Develop and implement engineering strategies to achieve and maintain LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification.
Conduct regular compliance audits and inspections to meet local, national, and international regulations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of statutory guidelines and facilitate the renewal of permits, licenses, and certifications.
Team and Vendor Management

Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians to ensure high performance and technical excellence.
Evaluate and engage vendors, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
Monitor vendor contracts and ensure SLA adherence, particularly for critical systems and sustainability-focused initiatives.
Project and Sustainability Management

Plan, budget, and execute engineering projects, ensuring alignment with LEED principles and ISO standards.
Drive energy efficiency initiatives and implement sustainable solutions to reduce carbon footprint and operational costs.
Analyze building performance data to identify areas for improvement and optimize resource utilization.
Promote green building practices, including the use of environmentally friendly materials and systems.
Health, Safety, and Risk Management

Develop and enforce policies and procedures to maintain safety across all engineering operations.
Ensure robust fire safety measures, emergency preparedness plans, and access control systems are in place.
Conduct regular training sessions on safety and compliance for the engineering team.
Key Qualifications

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil); Master’s degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in engineering operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record in achieving and maintaining ISO certifications and LEED accreditation.
Experience liaising with regulatory authorities for compliance audits and certifications.
Skills and Competencies

Expertise in MEP systems, HVAC, fire safety, and building automation systems.
Comprehensive knowledge of ISO standards, LEED guidelines, and sustainability practices.
Strong project management and budgeting skills.
Proficient in SAP, AutoCAD, and other facility management software.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Achievement and maintenance of ISO certifications and LEED accreditation.
System uptime and operational efficiency.
Timely project delivery within budget constraints.
Reduction in energy consumption and waste.
Compliance with safety and regulatory audits.
Work Environment

A combination of office work and on-site inspections at various facilities.
Requires occasional travel to multiple sites to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
