Job Description

We advocate for T-Shaped teams, where you will engage in all facets of engineering throughout your day. We are seeking a Technical Consultant with a diverse mix of technical skills to support the following activities:

Provide technical leadership for the entitlement’s solution, applying ASB’s established platform, integration, and architectural patterns to deliver scalable outcomes.
Develop and implement technology strategies that align with business objectives
Guide and mentor engineering teams, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.Guide implementation using shared SDKs, infrastructure standards, and CI/CD practices, ensuring alignment with security and compliance requirements.
Work closely with API, integration, and streaming platform teams to design resilient service interactions and meet agreed service levels.
Evaluate and de-risk emerging technologies, run pilots with clear success criteria and guide adoption across squads.
Lead delivery of reusable integration components and reference architectures, provide hands-on guidance for complex implementations.
Engage stakeholders (product, security, ops) to balance velocity with safety, communicate trade-offs and decisions clearly.

You're a proactive problem solver with strong technical leadership and communication skills. You're confident gathering requirements, designing pragmatic solutions, and presenting technical concepts to diverse audiences.

What you bring

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:

Experience

15+ years in software engineering, architecture and leadership.
Proven leadership and decision-making skills, with a track record of successful project delivery. 5+ years in solution architecture
Languages and Frameworks

.NET / C# including ASP.NET APIs
PowerShell and Azure CLI
NoSQL/Graph DB (Neo4j)
Database engineering
Cloud and DevOps

Azure and cloud-native development
Azure DevOps and GitHub for CI/CD
Containers and Integration

Docker, Kubernetes, AKS or similar
API Gateways such as Kong
Event streaming tools such as Apache Kafka
Practices and Tools

REST APIs using OpenAPI or Swagger
SDK and library development
Agile delivery and user story refinement
Strong technical documentation skills
