Requirements / Qualifications

MATERIALS Associate of Arts Degree (or 60 units) which includes: 24 ECE/CD college semester units in core courses (child/human growth and development, child/family/community or child and family relations, programs/curriculum 3 administrative units 2 adult supervision units 350 days of 3+ hours per day within 4 years including at least 100 days of supervising adults Red Cross First Aid and CPR certificates.

Job Summary

The TLC Teacher in Charge works under the supervision of the Director of The Learning Connection. The Teacher in Charge is responsible for the successful, daily operation of The Learning Connection. He/she participates in creating, organizing and monitoring the child care/youth program and an environment favorable to learning and student personal growth. The Teacher in Charge assumes full responsibility for the operations of The Learning Connection in the absence of the Director of The Learning Connection.
